We travel not to escape life, but for life not to escape us.

"Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor.
Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” - Mark Twain

My Love For Travel

My uncle loved travelling. His dream was to become a pilot, but due to a rare medical condition he sadly could not fulfill this dream.
Instead he launched and managed his own successful travel agency. He travelled often and loved exploring new destinations.
He also was talking selfies and vlogging before anybody knew what that meant.

In his home in Windhoek, Namibia, he kept a large world map on the wall in his lounge.
On the map he marked every destination he had visited with a red pin.

My uncle inspired me to travel and track my own adventures on a my own personal world map.

In 2001 I went on my first overseas trip with my parents and sister.
We visited Hong Kong, Singapore and Thailand. I was 16 years old and loved every minute of it.
That trip inspired me to work independently and make travelling an integral part of my lifestyle.
